Does PostGenetics Society run against so-many-Societies of Genetics?

Dear Anonymous,
No, International PostGenetics Society does not run against anything or anybody.
It runs *for* the overdue R&D and Applications of the 98.7% of our Genome. It turns a negative label ("junkDNA") into positive, as "PostGenes" in the DNA are now in the focus of the interest *after* 100 years of Genetics.
Though the turnaround sounds and is disruptive, it did not happen "all of a sudden".
For the past quarter of a Century some (admittedly, a few) were already in the strong belief that the functional significance e.g. in causing deadly diseases of PostGenes ("non-genes", "non-directly-protein-coding DNA sequences", etc) will one day assume the prominent focus that Nature assigned it to be, by reserving 98.7% of precious information in the DNA for it.
The "day" may be today, 1st of November, 2005.

P.S. "PostModernism" in the Arts did not run against "Modernism", either. It simply developed more recently...
